Go to your safe space,
Make sure that you have time to yourself and you will not be disturbed,
Take your journal, a pen, a black or indigo cloth for a blindfold, an anointing oil or blend from the list above,
Play your own choice of music or the one listed at the bottom, light some incense, and a candle,
On a piece of paper, draw three circles overlapping each other,
On the left circle, draw what symbolises masculinity to you, on the right femininity, in the centre the union where non-duality exists,
When you are ready and you are comfortable to begin, stare at the image you have drawn,
Ask the universe to open the channel where there is no judgement, no duality, where all is one,
Now formulate a question and ask it first in your mind, then as a whisper and then out loud,
Now place the blindfold on and lie back and allow images to formulate in your mind’s eye…
When you feel that you have experienced enough,
Write everything you felt, heard, saw and experienced in your journal.
The answer lies in the experience.
The inner voice. The commander of miracles and the intuitive guide who will never lead you astray. It is interesting to note that the third eye chakra is a seat of universal wisdom. Here there exists no judgement, no duality, and you become the observer, the witness without bonds. It is said that the yogi’s speak of life running through you and over you without becoming you. It is in this observer state that you are able to command your own being and influence life without being influenced or tarnished yourself. Reiki laws speak of for a single moment you will not worry, you will not anger… It is only from the place of the observer that you are able to exist without anger or worry.
Ajna is not only the commanding seat of all other chakras in that it may be used to balance and bring order back to other energy centres in the body, but it is also the birth place and master of all eight claire abilities i.e. Clairaudience, Clairsentience, Clairgustance, Clairvoyance, Clairtangency, Claircognisance, Clairempathy, Clairsalience. All our beyond the veil information is governed by Ajna.
Ajna is depicted with two petals on either side of a feminine triangle. On the left of the triangle is the symbol of Siva and all masculinity, on the right is that of Shakti and all femininity. The third eye chakra itself is the balance of everything known and unknown. This is where we open the doorway of the mind of the source. Source energy filters through the crown chakra into the third eye chakra and provides us with knowledge that we would not be able to grasp or obtain if working only from our logical perception. It must be said though that a sound mind is needed if we are to accurately translate the visions and the information that is gathered through Ajna.
There is a stillness in working with Ajna, a quiet acceptance and acknowledgement of our place in the universal ebb and flow. The ego self is not present any longer and we are faced with an integrated wholeness within the source energy. Ajna just is. Even if you believe for some reason that your third eye chakra does not work, is closed or blocked, it is working nonetheless. Hunches, shivers and that ‘just knowing’ feeling is all messages from Ajna. The third eye chakra is the perfect example of being the microcosm of the macrocosm, it is the perfect manifestation of finding within what you seek.
Every question, everything that you seek can and will be obtained through the information and energetic usage of your third eye chakra. Your power of discernment also lies in this chakra, so does your true beings’ information. We have spoken before in length about the process of the spirit or higher-self working through the translator that is the soul and then into the body, Ajna is where the first translation appears. It is imperative that you are kind to the wisdom obtained without logic so that the process of translation is cleared. When you begin, the process will be much like a radio that is slightly off with sounds and almost audible words coming through, or like a television that has a lot of snow but you can just make out the images. It takes patience to clear up the sound or the image, but when you finally get it at the perfect frequency, there will be no stopping the information that can be obtained.
Astral travel, lucid dreaming, remote viewing, shamanic journeying and dreaming in general are all the modes of gathering information as well as utilising the powers of altered states of consciousness without the logical mind being present. The reason that a clear logical mind is necessary is for balance and for accurate integration of information into the physical world. We need to have one foot in the mundane and one in the spiritual. Working with Ajna alone will throw any being into a straight jacket, so it is imperative that we have first balanced and worked through the throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral and root chakras before even beginning to work on the third eye chakra.
